Program helps surgeons that use a VISX Star laser and a EyeSys topographer
plan for
PRK/LASIK. The program produces simulated PostOp maps based on
preOp topography data, and a desired refractive correction. The surgeon
can interact with the program in order to customize a treatment plan for a
given cornea. Moreover, when the actual surgery is performed, and postOp topographical map is available, the program allows for the comparison of the Actual and Simulated postOp maps, side-by-side. A difference map between these two is displayed as well. The screen shot below is an example of such a PostOp Analysis screen. |
